Nike filed a lawsuit in the U.S. against Lululemon on January 5, accusing Lululemon of making and selling the Mirror Home Gym app without authorization.

Nike stated that it invented the technology of recording runner’s performance in 1983 and has filed the patents for it. Nike accused Lululemon of intentionally infringing the patents and asked for compensation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addressing Nike’s accusation, Lululemon said in a statement: “The patents in question are overly broad and invalid. We are confident in our position and look forward to defending it in court.”
