The Chinese e-cigarette company, Smoore, stated that it has officially sent a request to ITC for a 337 investigation, accusing 38 corporations and persons in USA and Canada of infringing its patent and trademark rights. This was the first time that a Chinese corporation took the initiative in requesting a 337 investigation as an individual plaintiff to accuse the foreign corporations. The investigation was said to be in connection with Smoore’s three patent and one trademark rights infringement.
